MEET OWNER KIM AGEL
Located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The baking tradition that started over 125 years ago with my maternal great grandfather continues today. I’m a 4th generation home baker that learned how to bake from my mother when I was just 10 years old. Every Christmas we would spend three weeks baking different types of cookies and candies and then creating trays for our family and friends. It was in her kitchen that I developed my love of baking, and more so, of sharing them with the people we loved. It is out of this same love and admiration of tradition that Nana’s Kettle, Toffee and Treats was created and even named.
When I embarked on this adventure, I felt it was important to honor tradition once again. Therefore, the name comes from my mom/teacher who was known as “Nana” to her grandchildren and the kettle that she used for over forty years to create the candy that we made. Although I no longer use that old kettle, it is always close by to remind of her and inspire me to continue what my great grandfather started so long ago.
I hope that you enjoy my treats, they are all made in small batches with the same love and pride just as they always have been.
